Where Creativity & Community Meet
About Us
Tweed Unlimited Arts Inc. is a vibrant community where creative minds come together to share skills, ideas, and a passion for the arts.
Since 1971, Tweed Unlimited Arts Inc. has been a welcoming hub for creativity, connection, and community, located in Banora Point and welcoming members from all over the Tweed. As a not-for-profit organisation, TUA brings together people of all ages and abilities who share a love for the arts. Over the decades, it has grown into a vibrant community where members inspire, encourage, and support one another in their artistic journeys.
At TUA, creativity takes many forms. With 11 groups running throughout the week, members explore painting, pottery, fabric arts, spinning and weaving, cake decorating, and more. Each group has its own character, offering opportunities to share skills, experiment with new techniques, or simply enjoy time spent with others who understand the joy of making. While TUA does not provide formal classes, individual groups often organise workshops, outings, and collaborative projects, with some sessions led by tutors. Places are limited in each group, and you can find more details and contact information on their individual pages.
Membership at TUA is open to everyone. An annual membership fee and a small attendance fee per session help us maintain our facilities and support our activities. This simple structure ensures that members can enjoy an affordable, ongoing connection to a thriving creative community.
Our facilities at Banora Point are designed to support a wide range of art forms. Three buildings make up the TUA site: a small cottage that houses the Spinners & Weavers, a medium-sized space for fabric arts and cake decorating, and a large building for painting and pottery. The site is mobility-friendly, with wheelchair access, easy pathways, and plenty of parking available.
Above all, Tweed Unlimited Arts is about more than making art—it’s about building connections. Here, friendships are formed, ideas are shared, and creativity flourishes. Whether you are just beginning your artistic journey or have been creating for years, you will find a place where you belong.
