Creative Fibre

We are a small but enthusiastic group, which does wet felting. A lot of people don’t know what this craft is, although it is a very old form of fabric.

We use fine Australian Merino wool to make many items – scarves, wall hangings, slippers, hats, vessels etc, and often with a combination of silk fabric and other embellishments. The wool is laid out, wet with warm soapy water, then agitated to form a fabric!

We welcome new members and invite anyone curious about wet felting to come along and give it a try.
